Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible
This year, our school is participating in an important initiative. It is called Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS). PBIS is a process for creating a safer and more effective school. It is a systems to educate all children by developing research-based, school-wide, and classroom behavior support systems. The process focuses on improving a school's ability to teach and support positive behavior for all students.

Students will receive a "Jackson Buck" for positive individual behavior and a "Jackson Buck" for positive classroom behavior. Once a week, students will be able to cash in their individual bucks at our school store OR save them until the end of the month for a larger prize. Classroom bucks will be collected once a month and the class with the most bucks will be rewarded with a special group prize! We want our students to learn in a positive and safe environment. How can we extend this positive behavior at home? Come to our next PTA meeting and find out!
