Dial-A-Teacher
Dial-A-Teacher began in 1980 as a pilot program with five teachers to help field homework questions. By 1986, this program expanded to include all elementary schools in the city through funding by the NYC City Council. The UFT provides a large space where the staff of teachers operates with hundreds of texts and reference materials. This is a homework helpline for elementary and middle school students and operates Monday - Thursday 4:00-7:00pm. Languages spoken are: Bengali, Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese & Fukanese), English, French, Haitian-Creole, Russian, Slovak and Spanish.
If you or your child is stumped and has a question about homework, consider seeking help from Dial-A-Teacher - many have found it a great resource - and it's FREE!

NYC DOE Discipline Code & Student Bill of Rights
All members of the school community - students, staff, and parents - must know and understand the standards of behavior which all students are expected to live up to and the consequences if these standards are not met.
The full Discipline Code is available in ten languages online at: http://schools.nyc.gov/RulesPolicies/DisciplineCode/default.htm
Please speak with your child about appropriate language and action. All students are expected to adhere to these rules; any violation will be addressed by the school administration.
